4th Annual Mediterranean Festival
"Celebrating love and carefor family and your heart"
Friday July 11th 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Saturday July 12th 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
Sunday July 13th 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Festival will take place on the church grounds, located 1073 Saunders Settlement Rd. (Rt.31), just East of Millitary Rd., bordering Lewiston/Town of Niagara. Parking will be plentiful.
Highlights Includes:
* Home made Arabic and Greek food - Souvlaki, grape Leaves, Falafel, Hummus, Gyros, Kibbee, Tabouleh, Pita bread, and delicious home made desserts such as Baklava, Ajwee, Melomakarona, Khourabiethes, Koulouraki, Macaroons

Part of the proceeds from the festival will be donated to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center's The Heart Center of Niagara as well as Mt. Saint Mary Hospital in Lewiston to sustain the quality of service and awareness of heart disease. As we celebrate love and care for our family and your heart health, we can not forget the importance of family and friends in Western New Yorkwho have been stricken by the disease and most recently our beloved promoter of Western New York, Tim Russert.
Opening ceremonies will be held on Friday July 11th at 5:00 PM
and the closing ceremonies will be held on Sunday July 13th at 5:30PM. Keith Radford with Channel 7 WKBW will be helping us with the closing ceremonies.

Hummus (also spelled hamos, houmous, hommos, hommus, hummos, hummous or humus; see romanization of Arabic) is a dip or spread made from cooked, mashed chickpeas, blended with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and garlic. Hummus is a popular food in various local forms throughout the Middle Eastern world.
Tabbouleh ( Tabouleh or Tabouli) is a Middle Eastern Arabic salad dish, often used as part of a mezze. Its primary ingredients are bulgur, finely chopped parsley, mint, tomato, scallion (spring onion), and other herbs with lemon juice, olive oil and various seasonings, generally including black pepper and sometimes cinnamon and allspice.
Stuffed Grape Leaves - Greek style or Lebanese style, these grape vine leaves stuffed with rice, and meat and spices are great healthy favorite finger food for children and adults.
Kibbee -A classic Middle Eastern dish is kibbe, a mixture of ground lamb and cracked wheat.
